On June 7, 65 international and Japanese students of Kanazawa University took part in the dancing parade called “Hyakumangoku-Odorinagashi” at the 74th Kanazawa Hyakumangoku Festival as a team “Acanthus 49ers”.
The students, dressed in yukata robes and matching happi coats, danced down Kanazawa's main streets for approximately two hours. Although it was the first time for most of the students to participate, they encouraged each other and demonstrated excellent teamwork as they enjoyed the dance parade. After the dance parade, the participants were seen with a sense of satisfaction and a refreshing smile.
